Chapter six.
We get a LOT of weird images this chapter.
Continuing with the kiss from last chapter Anita describes Thea's lips as "warm like hot chocolate. Something you wanted to open up your and sip from". So the lips are sticky and brown? I mean it sounds good but in context it makes no sense. In any context it makes no sense. \~/. Thea continues to try and kiss her, trying to force her to open her mouth. Anita suddenly wonders if she's homophobic because, "If she'd been a man I would have just let her kiss me". Because getting kissed against your will is only okay if you're attracted to that gender. Never mind the fact that Thea is obviously forcing the kiss onto Anita who clearly doesn't want it and has stated earlier that she doesn't want it. No, the reason why she doesn't want to kiss Thea is obviously because Thea is a woman. \~/\~/\~/\~/.
Anita continues on by saying that if Thea didn't want her to open her mouth so badly, she might have done it. So, there goes the homophobia remark right there. \~/ Instead she's really more worried about Thea taking over her mind or something. Thea manages to get Anita to cut her own lip which means "I tasted blood, sweet, metallic candy on my tongue." I'm not really sure if that actually works. It's the entire candy thing. Candy and metallic don't go together so it's just a very confusing metaphor. Like most of Hamilton's. \~/
Thea wants to know why Anita doesn't want to open her mouth and wonders if it is because she is another woman, as opposed to the fact that she's trying to force her kiss onto Anita. I'm starting to think rape does not exist in Anita-Land, it's all about if you're attracted to the person or trying not to let them have power of you as opposed to them doing something that you do not want. \~/ \~/ \~/ \~/
It continues on with Anita being more worried about her beast awakening than you know... being forced to do something against her will. Finally the kiss breaks and Samuel (Thea's husband) wanted to know why she had to do it like that. She doesn't answer him and instead apologizes to Anita. Apparently Thea hadn't met someone in a long time that could resist her. This makes her ashamed of her actions. That she wasn't able to bust into Anita's head. Because if she was able, then it'd be all right. \~/ \~/ \~/ \~/
Once this nasty business of unwanted attentions is blown over, Thea wants to know if Anita knows why. She says, "Jean-Claude said you wished for a stronger alliance between our two kisses."
Yes. Kisses. \~/
I would say that Anita has sex on her mind (which would be redundant) or that she's still overwhelmed by the kiss, but no one notices. \~/\~/
This once again confirms our on going theory that Hamilton is in fact a thirteen year old girl writing fan fiction and has a goldfish for a beta.
However the stronger alliance between their two kisses is not exactly what Thea had in mind. See she's a Siren and the last of her kind because most of them are killed before they can reach full power, least they be able to control other mermaids. It's rather like Anita's ability with the undead. The basis of this control is sex or seduction.
Yes. Once again, unsurprisingly, it comes down to sex. \~/ Sex is the answer to everything. Which explains why my life is so shitty. I don't have sex.
Anita is, according to Thea, a succubus. Someone who has gone a level above the power of the ardeur \~/. People can be addicted to the touch of her skin. \~/
Thea wants to know if her three boys are also sirens, but the only way to know is if their power is awakened by another siren. To put it bluntly, they need to have sex with her. This sounds like those Harry Potter fics where Harry's power is awakened and it can only be brought to completeness when he finds his mate and has life affirming sex with him. (It's always a guy, you know) \~/\~/
This really is a fan fic.
Of course Anita is HORRIFIED at this idea, the idea of Thea pimping out her own children. As opposed to having sex with an abused kid who had been a prostitute since the age of thirteen and been practically traumatized int to being a submissive and should be in a lot of therapy. That's perfectly fine. \~/\~/ She wants to know why mom is pimping out her sons.
Mom does not know what pimping out means. I would think that a creature so involved in sex sorts of stuff would know what pimping out means. I think this is supposed to be comedy, but I'm not sure. \~/ It's just sort of dumb and stalls the "story" as it were.
The way Thea can tell if Anita is a Succubus or not is by touching her power, which requires kissing her. Anita is iffy about. Even though she obviously doesn't want to have sex with the kids, she's pondering it. If she is not a succubus then the kids won't be offered up as potential blood apples. Nice, innit? \~/\~/
Anita decides to talk to the kids and ask their opinion on the matter. Apparently no one has ever asked any of the three their opinion on the matter. Also we get our first continuity mistake. Vampire Daddy is over a thousand years old. It was said earlier that vampire sperm dries up after about a hundred years, yet somehow he manages to have two seventeen year old boys. \~/\~/. Sampson, the oldest, doesn't want to because it'd be forced to be having sex. Thomas, one of the twins, would like to because Anita is hawt. Cristos is the other twin and he's really doesn't want to do it. He "screams virgin". The twins are about seventeen. She freaks because she doesn't do teenagers, even when she was a teenager.
I leave you to ponder that one. \~/
Also, I might note, that Auggie hasn't been seen or heard from in this entire chapter. \~/ Even though he's in the same room and presumably has his own blood apple candidates.
Finally, Anita agrees to let Thea test her for the power, while she hopes that Thea doesn't like the way she tastes. As opposed to, you know, saying that she won't because the kids are too young/or don't want to and that would be like rape. \~/\~/ So, she kisses Thea again. \~/
