Paolini, and therefor Eragon's, stance on meat seems to wibble wobble worse than Marvel and DC's continuity combined. It feels awfully like Paolini's trying to please his fan base. They complain about the elves being to righteous about the gods and lack there of so he puts in a dwarf god. The elves are too... vegetarian goodness so he takes away that from Eragon. And now Eragon's devolved into down right savagery.
